Our Detroit/Wayne County Talking is Teaching Community Campaign is part of the National Talking is Teaching Campaign. We are working to support families and involve our community in:
Celebrating parents for the many beautiful and meaningful ways they love, teach and support their children.
Understanding the importance of early connections with children to support their brain growth and feelings of safety and security.
Providing information and materials to help parents Talk, Read and Sing with their little ones even more!

The research is clear: the brain develops more rapidly in the first few years of life than at any other time in life.
When you Talk, Read, and Sing with children from the time they are born you are helping them build their brains. Small moments of connection by talking, reading, or singing to your little ones are a big deal!
