Our job is to assist in building, maintaining and enhancing the Early Childhood system in Detroit and Wayne County - as a partner. We focus our efforts by embracing two major areas of thought and action:

• Ready Schools, Ready Services, Ready Communities and Ready Families all supporting and surrounding Ready Children who are ready for success in school and life.

• Recognizing and promoting third-grade reading proficiency as an eight-year process.
