Description

The Women and Family Shelter 

This emergency shelter is to provide temporary residence for women and their children who are homeless. Each person in the program is provided case management services to help them avoid a return to living on the streets. Each resident is able to work while in the shelter but must be drug & alcohol free. Case management services are available to link with other community resources to meet the needs of each resident. Guests are not required to leave during the day. Support services include meals, clothing, medical care, individual counseling, housing placement assistance, and parenting skills and nutrition classes. Maximum length of stay is up to 90 days.

Substance Abuse Counseling for Women

 The Evangeline Center for Women and Children is a women's specialty program designed for substance abusing pregnant and non-pregnant women with children. Women’s support service includes intensive individual and group counseling and pediatric care for their children. Mothers enrolled in the program may have their children reside with them if necessary. Women and children can stay for up to 120 days.
