“Sleepers,” “Nappers” & More:  Are they safe for infant sleep?

This presentation for Home Visitors and Child Care Providers will address the variety of infant sleep environments that are on the market and teach how to assess the safety of each product.

American Academy of Pediatrics Infant Safe Sleep Recommendations will be reviewed at the beginning of the presentation.  This will be followed by discussion of the "Safe Sleep Checklist" tool that poses questions regarding the infant sleep environment. Multiple infant sleep environments that are currently on the market will be brought to the presentation.  Participants will have the opportunity to work in a small group to explore one product in detail and, using the "Safe Sleep Checklist" tool, determine if the product is safe for infant sleep or not. Infant safe sleep resources will be shared. Register today, Space
