FREE Downriver Summer Camp & Family Dinner
5:30 – 8:00 PM
July 23 – 27, 2012
Kids - Kindergarten to 8th Grade
Through interactive games, music, crafts and the national award winning Downriver Children’s Program curriculum, campers will:
- Learn that alcohol and other drugs hurt their minds and bodies
- Discover techniques for problem solving that don’t include alcohol or drug use
- Gain self confidence in a safe, caring environment
- Learn appropriate ways of expressing feelings
- Practice skills necessary for making safe decisions and developing healthy behavior
- Learn how to find trusted adults who can provide help
Parents and Caregivers are invited to attend a parent workshop that meets at the same time. Child care is available for 2 ½ - 4 year olds.
Dinner will be served to children and parents and/or caregivers staying for the camp sessions.
