Parent Coalition Helping One Another

The Great Start Wayne County Parent Coalition is a group that focuses on positive parenting and supporting their children from the very beginning. Even before birth. They were originally conceived through the Great Start Collaborative of Wayne County, but now work in partnership with the collaborative supporting many of the same issues surrounding early childhood.

Parents meet monthly and participate in events. Last Friday, the Parent Coalition celebrated for one of their own, Allana Niallebey. Allana was showered with gifts for her soon-to-arrive newborn baby. With the help of the parents, Allana received clothing, blankets, a diaper bag, gift cards, and Wayne Metro gave her a car seat. She is more prepared for her journey into parenthood.
